Jonathan Cooper is a multimedia journalist and fill-in anchor at KQTV in St. Joseph, Mo.
He is a 2013 graduate of the University of Kansas with degrees in broadcast journalism and film. He has worked extensively reporting and anchoring for KUJH-TV in Lawrence, Kan. He has also interned at KCTV-5 in Kansas City. In his college career, Cooper completed news packages, video features and short films.
Along with his broadcasting and film endeavors, Cooper is a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. Working as scholarship, intramurals, public relations, judicial board and chapter room manager positions, Cooper created promotional videos and ran the website for the chapter. Cooper carried a 3.81 GPA and achieved honor roll distinction all eight semesters at KU.
In high school, Cooper traveled to Los Angeles, Orlando, and Springfield, Mo. where he competed in broadcast journalism contests through Student Television Network winning awards in news stand-ups.
